2017 - After penning a song to tackle the great white whale, Daniel Emond re-read the classic Moby-Dick... several times over. What followed were others from Melville’s canon, as well as research trips to Nantucket, New Bedford, and Provincetown, all leading to the development of the double-sided record and musical film, Kill the Whale–A Musical Odyssey of Moby Dick. With musical styles inspired by everything from the Beatles’ Sergeant Pepper to Beyoncé’s Lemonade, Kill the Whale's first stage of development culminates in a celebration of the Kill the Whale EP and the first look at the pilot to the musical film. Joining Daniel will be Starbird and the Phoenix and The Lobbyists. It all goes down the evening of Friday, December 8. Event details here, tickets here!
